WWOP

UWE Students’ Final Year Publication

During my role as Graphic Design Programme Support Assistant at Bristol UWE, I led a small team of final year students in producing their end of year publication. After briefing the students with a starting theme of George Orwell’s ‘1984’, I worked with them to direct the project, which took on the format of an ironic, playful guide from a fictional Government department, critiquing the role of Capitalism in our modern society - WWOP. I mentored the team over a series of months, guiding them in developing tone, content and design direction, whilst delegating jobs to produce our final printed outcome, and set up a successful publication launch party.
