As a huge Joy Crookes fan I was honoured and excited to be tasked with the design of her first full website, to coincide with the release of her debut album, ’Skin’. Management wanted to create a sleek and minimal design to compliment the neutral tones and earthy vibe of the artwork and record.

To achieve this I stripped back the visuals, restricted the colour palette and included delicate fades on hover, which in turn helped to really enhance and show off the striking imagery we had. I created interest and referenced the natural quality of her style through adding small organic flourishes, in the form of subtle, animating headers which ‘grow in’ as the user scrolls.
